So lets check this out ....
For webmasters who are just learning I just wanted to clarify a bit that I get to the question that always asked what is the difference in PHP with ASP ..
For the layman about programming PHP and ASP website according to them is not much difference, in fact some say it is an ASP Language Pemrprogram of PHP ... following me explain the difference of ASP and PHP ...?
ASP and PHP is a programming language used to create websites. Unlike normal HTML web pages, ASP and PHP is more dynamic and capable of making the user can interact and exchange information with a database of the website.
ASP stands for Active Server Pages, a type of program that works in Microsoft (Windows) via the IIS (Internet Information Server). ASP requires a Microsoft server to run the website. While the PHP or Hypertext Preprocessor programs run on Linux or Unix servers. Newer PHP can run on NT server.
PHP programs can run on Windows, Solaris, Unix and Linux while the ASP can only run on servers with the Windows platform. Just recently, ASP can run on Linux platform that exists only when an ASP-Apache installed on the server.
If you are a proficient programmer in C + +, you will probably be more comfortable using PHP instead of ASP. PHP uses the C / C + + programming language as the basic syntax and most similar between the one with the other. Since most programmers still use C + +, PHP becomes more popular than with ASP.
More similar to the ASP syntax and the interface of Visual Basic programming. That's because Visual Basic is essentially correlated with the products and programs made by Microsoft. So if you are a programmer, the selection between ASP and PHP programming language is actually based on which one you are good at.
When compared in terms of cost and kemahalannya, the ASP program requires Windows with IIS installed on the server. You must purchase both components in order to run ASP. Instead, PHP will only need a Linux server that you can get them for free.
PHP is very flexible when connected to the database. PHP can connect to several databases which are mostly used is MySQL. Please note that MySQL will not cost you a cent dollars too. But if you want to use ASP, you need to buy MS-SQL, Microsoft products.
Load speed is a major factor in maintaining the website. If you are very selective about speed, you may need more PHP. Basically PHP code runs faster than ASP because it runs in its own space while the ASP using an additional server and use COM-based architecture.
In working with PHP, most of the tools associated with the programs mostly in the form of open source software, so you do not have to pay to get the tool. Unlike ASP which may require us to purchase additional tools to work with this program.
In conclusion: Both PHP and ASP have advantages and disadvantages. Basically all depends on the development of the website which would you choose. Are you worried about the cost of making your website? Do you want to use a programming language that is familiar to you? Do you want a website that is more stable and faster? Selection between ASP and PHP is basically dependent on your own preferences. We recommend that you negotiate with programmers or other webmasters and search as much information about the programming code which is most appropriate to your website.
